Festive May at Gela
May is a month of celebrations and springtime energy. On May 1 we mark Labour Day, and on May 6 we celebrate St. George’s Day (Gergyovden) — the Day of Bravery and of the Bulgarian Army, one of the most beloved spring holidays in Bulgaria.
Traditionally associated with blessings for health, agriculture, and the beginning of the new season, it is a time deeply rooted in Bulgarian culture.
This festive period brings a sense of renewal, joy, and the simple pleasure of gathering in nature. In Gela, we celebrate with music, flavour, and shared experiences.
